Physicians Plus Insurance Corporation of Madison, WI, has recognized Community Health Network Medical Center-Montello as a top performing clinic in the area of Cervical Cancer Screening.
The award is based on the percentage of women between the ages 21-64 with Physicians Plus health insurance who received one or more Pap tests to screen for cervical cancer between January 1, 2007 and December 31, 2009. The measure excludes any women who have had a hysterectomy. Over 90 percent of Physicians Plus members who qualified received a screening Pap test at CHN Medical Center-Montello, compared to the national average of 76 percent.
Each year, Physicians Plus Insurance Corporation awards top performing clinics in five clinical measures—Cervical Cancer Screening; Breast Cancer Screening; Childhood Immunization; Diabetes Glucose and Diabetes Cholesterol. This is the sixth year Physicians Plus has recognized clinics for excellent preventative healthcare measures.
