CHN Software Implementation affects Patient Statements

Community Health Network has recently completed a major software upgrade as the healthcare organization progresses toward full implementation of electronic medical record.  We are aware that as part of the upgrade, some of the information on patient statements has created questions.

Through our growing pains, know that we are here to help. For assistance with your patient statement, please call 920-361-5551. For your convenience, we now offer easy on-line bill pay! Just visit www.chnwi.org and click on the Bill Pay tab.

CHN has made a commitment with every physician and employee to work together and make full electronic medical record a reality. The end result? Greater efficiencies in-house, along with improvements for the patient as well. Just what improvements?
-Providing improved accessibility to patient records for the patient, for CHN departments, and for other healthcare facilities.
-Enhancing security of the medical record by scanning a photo ID at registration. This aids in further protecting identity and records of patients.
-Increasing patient safety, specifically with a process called Bedside Medication Verification (BMV). Prescriptions dispensed during a patient’s stay are all programmed via a barcoded wristband on the patient to reduce the possibility of error in medication distribution.
-Improving communication between all healthcare facilities.

CHN is excited for the advancements taking place and working towards one goal – offering top quality care.

We are sorry for any confusion that our recent billing statements may have caused you. We also understand that healthcare finances are already confusing and that is why we urge you to call us should you have any questions regarding your recent bill. We are working diligently to resolve these issues and thank you for your patience.
