10th Annual “Helping Hands for Cancer” a Great Success
It was a day of great participation from the community, with a record-breaking 510 runners and walkers in the Helping Hands for Cancer Run/Walk, along with 30 vendors who took part in the Health Fair on the campus of CHN Berlin Memorial Hospital on Saturday, May 21st.
CHN Charity Golf Outing…Great Fun and Great Prizes!
West Side Garage GM of Berlin will again sponsor the Hole-in-One challenge at the Community Health Network Caring for Kids Golf Outing, which will be held at the Golf Courses of Mascoutin on Wednesday, June 15th. The prize for one lucky golfer? A 2011 Buick LaCrosse!
National Hospital Week Celebrated
A hospital is more than a place where people go to heal, it is a part of the community that fosters health and represents hope. CHN celebrated the week of May 9th with a variety of recognitions and outreach programs.
15 years of successful blood drives
Donating blood is a choice, but to some it’s more than that. Terri Vande Kolk, Surgical Tech at CHN, has been the coordinator of the hospital blood drives for the past 15 years. This year, Berlin Memorial Hospital received the Bronze Award from the Community Blood Center for the successful blood drives held in 2010.
A Healthy Weight for You "Winners & BIG Losers"
Almost 300 employees from Community Health Network (CHN) and Berlin Area School District (BASD) recently participated in a twelve week weight loss/ weight maintenance challenge sponsored by CHN Community Relations and the CHN Wellness Program. CHN Non-Traditional Healthcare Applicants Sought
Community Health Network is accepting applications for their annual “Commitment to Healthcare Award.” The $1000 scholarship is awarded to a non-traditional student from the CHN service area.

Area businesses, service clubs and health care professionals are making their plans to provide valuable information, and Run/Walk participants - lace up your shoes and start training for the upcoming 3.1 miles!
