When community members pooled their resources to form the Berlin Hospital Association in 1911, little did they know how much their hometown hospital would impact the local quality of life the next 100 years and beyond.
Although many have never heard of the term “lymphedema,” Community Health Network Occupational Therapist Kathy Wilkowski notes that many may suffer unknowingly from this painful condition. Lymphedema causes painful swelling of the arms and legs.

A lifetime career of teaching and coaching may sound tough mentally, but it can take its toll physically as well. Next year will mark a milestone in the life of 62 year old Fond du Lac resident Joe Guyette, having dedicated 40 years of his career to mentoring kids, both in the classroom and on the sports field. He is well-known in the Fond du Lac community with his many years of contributions at St. Mary Springs High School, and the past 20 years at Fond du Lac High School.
For most patients who require a typical total hip replacement, the process is arduous and the recovery long and painful. For patients of orthopedic surgeon Dr. David Jones of Community Health Network, much of the discomfort is alleviated through an anterior approach hip replacement using Computer Assisted Surgery (CAS). As only one of three surgeons in the state of Wisconsin currently performing anterior hip replacement, Jones is able to offer his patients shortened recovery time and less pain.
