Community Health Network Nurse Practitioner Vicki Cross has just completed her recertification through the American Nursing Credentialing Center (ANCC).
The purpose of the ANCC certification renewal program is to ensure that individuals demonstrate continuing commitment to expand their knowledge and enhance their professional competency within their certification specialty.
The ANCC requires that every Nurse Practitioner be re-certified every five years, enabling them to meet the criteria for third party and governmental reimbursement.
Although the recertification requires 150 credit hours, Vicki has accumulated over 200 hours of continuing education. Vicki has attended a wide variety of classes in order to keep current on the latest research on chronic diseases, such as diabetes, thyroid disease, heart and respiratory illnesses, as well as women’ health issues, including contraceptive care.
“I love learning about new therapies and techniques that can improve the quality of life for my patients,” commented Cross, who has been a member of the CHN team for 15 years.
Vicki Cross sees patients at the CHN Medical Center-Princeton Monday through Thursday 8am-5pm and can be reached at 920-295-6432.
