65 Years and Older
Routine examination every 1-3 years- screen blood pressure and weight. Cardiovascular Risk Assessment.
Cancer Screening - Colon and rectal cancer, prostate cancer, examination for skin cancer.
Testing - Cholesterol screening every 3-5 years, blood sugar every 3-5 yrs.
Immunizations - yearly influenza vaccine, Pneumococcal vaccine once after age 65, tetanus booster every 10 years.
Healthy Lifestyle - No smoking or use of tobacco products. Limit alcohol intake to 2 ounces or less daily. Exercise regularly. Eat a diet that includes 5 fruits and vegetables daily.
Consider daily use of aspirin.
