The non-profit Women's Health & Resource Center provides routine pap smears, breast exams, birth control education and supplies, and pregnancy testing. In addition to those routine services, the clinic performs more advanced procedures, such as colposcopies and punch biopsies to assess abnormal pap smears and detect more serious diseases. With earlier detection rates, any abnormalities can be treated right at our office, or referred on to a gynecologist. The clinic does not perform or endorse abortions, but rather encourages patients to select other pregnancy options best suited to their situation
To ensure healthcare services are available to all females, regardless of income, we accept both private insurance and medical assistance; offer a sliding fee scale and endorse the Wisconsin Medicaid Family Planning Waiver Program, Badger Care, the Wisconsin Women’s Cancer Control Program, Well-Women Health Screening Program and Pre-Natal Care Coordination.
Both the cancer control and well-women health screening programs offer testing for breast and cervical cancer to income-qualified patients between the ages of 40 and 64. The pre-natal care program offers early risk intervention and resource referral for income-qualified patients at risk for violence, domestic/sexual abuse and alcohol or other drug use.
